This is the second of 12 Ways to Revitalize Your Outdoor Living Area which can also be downloaded from our free eBook library.

Unless your pool was built recently, you can probably spot a few problem areas that could use a facelift. After years and years of exposure to the elements and the Florida sun, your pool area may not look like it once did.

Ask yourself these questions to decide if it is time for you to consider revitalizing your pool deck:

  • Do you see tiles that are missing or cracked? Are there other reasons tiles should be replaced?
  • Is the grout dirty or in need of sealing?
  • Should the surfaces be pressure washed? Is there mold or mildew around the pool area?
  • Are calcium deposits building up around the inside of the pool? You will notice it as a white filmy substance usually near the water line.
  • Are there a suitable number of chairs and lounges for your family and guests? Are any broken or discolored?

There are dozens of ways to revitalize your pool deck area.

By simply being attentive and giving this area your full attention, you can probably make a list of at least a couple of improvements that you could do easily.

If other repairs or fixes seem like they would be too much to tackle, consider calling an expert for help.

12 Ways to Revitalize Your Outdoor Living AreaMany problems will only get worse (and more expensive to fix) if ignored for a long time. If your pool is already looking good and doesn’t need other repairs or updates, consider adding special features like the ones detailed in one of our other eBooks.

If you’re like us, then you love being by your pool and in your pool! Give this special area of your home the attention it deserves.
