If your pool plans are complete, it is now time to put the icing on the cake and budget for an outdoor theater, complete with surround sound and television!

Some people prefer quiet and meditative pool experiences, whereas others are always busy entertaining and hosting outdoor parties. Depending on where you fall on this spectrum, you may be interested in adding audio or TV to your pool area.

If you often listen to music while you’re in the pool and really appreciate a quality sound system, then it may be reasonable to install one. Today, there are many a variety of options for wireless systems.

We are so lucky to live in Florida, because we can live outdoors and use our pools all year long! Some visitors or former snowbirds are surprised to hear that we install fire-pits or outdoor fireplaces in some of our customers’ outdoor spaces.

But it’s true! Even though we don’t always need the heat of a fire, both fire-pits and outdoor fireplaces can make great additions to your pool area.

For one thing, there’s nothing like the ambiance of a glowing fire and the crackle it makes. It naturally draws people in, so most outdoor seating areas are centered around a fire, if one exists. A fireplace or fire-pit also lends a beautiful color to the surrounding area – almost like a continual sunset.

And, of course in the few weeks or month that Florida does experience “winter”, it’s wonderful to be able to sit outside enjoying the fresh air… and warming yourself by the fire.

One of the features that has exploded in popularity over the last 10 years is the spillover spa. A spillover spa is a separate area of your pool – most have jets that can be turned on or off, depending on your preference for bubbles and back massage!

The spillover spa is connected to your pool and runs off the same system. However, it can also be treated as a separate entity – if you want to heat only the spa and not the entire pool.

Besides the many benefits of a spa, a spillover spa has other specific qualities which make it such a popular Floridian pool feature.
