A renovation to an existing pool can be a great way to get a big bang for your buck. Not only is it a perfect opportunity to get the look you want, but you can also get custom features that are suited to your family’s lifestyle.

When considering a pool renovation, you also have the opportunity to correct any safety hazards that may be lurking in your old pool. You can correct any broken tile or cracked cement, add safety railings to deck areas, add a pool fence or gate (see Tip #2), add a safety cover, and fix any plumbing components that need repair.

Having a pool renovation is a good time to review all your pool safety procedures. It’s a great reason to have another conversation with friends and family about proper pool use. Remind them:
