Pool Renovation - Installing a Fence

With most kids back to school or getting ready to go back to school, summer break is just about over. Even though most children and adults are back to the “school time grind” the weather in Southwest Florida allows for at least a few more months to enjoy your pool.

As homework becomes the focus for most children in the afternoon, we still need to be vigilant of swimming pool safety even if you don’t have children at home.

Children Are at Highest Risk of Drowning

There are simple things you can do to keep your pool safe and prevent injury or tragedy. These things include:

Pool Pros are now on Pinterest and Houzz

Posted by Joe On July 24th

Well, we finally got with the program and decided to showcase our work on Houzz.com and Pinterest!

Although we’ve always offered a portfolio of our pools, spas, and backyard environments on our website, we realized that sites like Houzz and Pinterest have a much broader audience and therefore decided that if we can’t beat ’em, JOIN ‘EM!

Of course as we build new pools around Southwest Florida, we’ll be sure to add photos to both sites and perhaps tempt a few people to get in touch with us.

We LOVE helping others realize their dreams of owning a backyard environment like no one else’s and that’s truly what helps us wake up in the morning!

If you see something that you like in the slideshow above, please don’t hesitate to let us know how we can renovate your backyard. Just visit www.PoolPros-Inc.com/contact.

Hurricane Clean Up Service - Southwest Florida

With hurricane season quickly approaching, it’s time to start devising a game plan in the event of a devastating storm.

The obvious factors that should be considered are your health, food, clean drinking water, shelter, and a generator. Other factors that you’ll want to consider are your clean up efforts.

In this article, we’re going to focus on the clean up of your swimming pool.

If you’ve only been a resident of Southwest Florida for a short period of time, you may not be aware that the Atlantic Hurricane Season runs from June 1st through November 30th.

Those of us that have lived here or owned a home here for a number of years, can attest to the fact that even though we haven’t had any seriously devastating storms make landfall since 2005, Florida is always at risk! The following storms come to mind:

  • Hurricane Donna (Category 4, 1960)
  • Hurricane Andrew (Category 5, 1992)
  • Hurricane Charley (Category 4, 2004)
  • Hurricane Wilma (Category 3, 2005)

According to the National Hurricane Center: Andrew, Charley, and Wilma caused over 62.6 billion dollars in damage and are listed in the top 6 of the 30 costliest mainland United States tropical cyclones, from 1900 to 2010. Hurricane Donna caused 50 deaths!

So if you haven’t had to deal with the effects of a major hurricane (such as the ones listed above), consider yourself fortunate because our peninsula is almost surrounded by warm tropical waters…perfect for sustaining hurricane force winds.

When it’s time to begin the post-hurricane clean up process, you may want to leave the swimming pool to us and here’s why:
